Missed The Virgin London Marathon Ballot?

13 AUG2010

An elite runner in the Virgin London Marathon

The Virgin London Marathon (VLM) ballot system for entries may now be closed, but runners that are 'good for age' can still win a golden ticket for the world-famous race on April 11 2011, through entering with their best time over the past two years.

Runners that have already run a full marathon in a particularly fast time might qualify for a 'good for age' entry into the race. VLM hopefuls must have run that distance faster than the stated qualification times in the past two years, with times graded by age and gender.

'Good for age' application will need to reach the VLM team by August 21 so time is of the essence and all applications must be coupled with proof of qualifying time and proof of age.

Runners who appplied to be in the main ballot only need to wait until early October to find out if they have a place in the race, they will receive either an 'accepted' or 'rejected' magazine through the post, with details on what to do next.
