No Problem for Houston

Eighty-seven runners completed the Self Transcendence 2 mile race held on Wed 13 May in the Meadows, Edinburgh. Ross Houston (who ran London Marathon in 2.31) won in 9.29 ahead of Ray Ward and Craig McBurney. Houston's training partner, Ross Milne took 7th place having had a great debut marathon in London in a time of 2.29. Ken Rankin, Falkirk Victoria made it three wins in a row in the male vet 50 category with a time of 11.12. Eilidh Wardlaw maintained her recent good form to finish in 11.33 in a guddle of Hunters Bog Trotters(HBT) which included the first three women! Graham Bennison from Fife AC was 1st male 60 in a time of 14.28 ahead of Norman Gould, HBT 15.29.

Worth a special mention is Isobel Knox, having won the Scottish 50k Championship on Sunday, she showed no ill effects finishing 6th female in 12.36. Full Results.
