Race for Life 2010 Comes To An End

30 JUL2010

Race for life logo

The last race for life of 2010 will be run tomorrow in Clapham, London, bringing an end to another extremely successful series from Cancer Research. Race for Life was established in 1994 and now has over 200 women only events across the UK, seeing 4.7 million women raise over £370 million to help fund Cancer Research UK's life saving work.

This year, Cancer Research held several races across the north of England, including 10K events in Sunderland, Tatton Park, Manchester, the Wirral, Leeds and York, as well as lots of smaller, 5K races. There is no doubt that the Race for Life series will increase in size across the north moving into the 2011 events.

The popularity of Race for Life shows just how much the people of the UK are getting behind Cancer Research and the work that they do to beat cancer. To find out more about Race for Life and Cancer Research UK, visit the Race for Life website.
