Get Out Running In Glasgow

28 JUL2010

Running is becoming more and more popular in Scotland with new shops and groups being established all the time. Glasgow has seen a new shop and jogscotland group in the past week, as more people put on their running shoes and get out and about to keep fit.

Northern Sole Mates Maryhill group, led by jogscotland leaders, Jen and Lesley, left from the new Maryhill Leisure Centre for the first time last Thursday at 18.30. The group meets each week and is in a fantastic location for some great river and canal-side routes. Anyone can join and its free!

Moving to the southside of the city, Glasgow's Run Urban has now opened its doors on Cathcart Road, offering expert advice and a full range of clothing, shoes and running accessories. The shop will be open Mon-Sat 09:30-17:30 and Sundays from 12:00-17:00.

If you would like to find out more about a jogscotland group in your area, visit the jogscotland website. For a full list of specialist running retailers in Scotland, visit our 'shops' section.
