Entries now open for Bupa Great Winter Run

The Bupa Great Winter Run is now accepting entries for the race which will take place on Saturday January 8 2011. The popular New Year's run, held in the inspiring surroundings of Edinburgh's Holyrood Park is a 5K road run for all abilities. The Great Winter Run makes a fun family day out as there will also be a Junior Great Winter Run, a 2.5K race for younger competitors to enjoy the atmosphere.

Organisers also use the day to host the Bupa Great Edinburgh International Cross Country - an annual event that attracts the world's best middle distance runners to the capital. With so much going on, the event is sure to have a fantastic atmosphere, whatever your aim for the race,raising money, getting fit or beating a personal best.

Entry to the Great Winter Run is £20 and visitors to scottishrunningguide.com can enter online.
