Knockout Racing At Knockhill
24 JUN2010
For a chance to run around a racing track with a difference, sign up for the annual Graham Clark Memorial Race, held for the 7th time at Knockhill Racing Circuit on Tuesday August 31. Fast cars and bikes will be making way for 250 runners, as the popular 3.9 mile race involves three laps around the car racing track.
Attracting a record 218 runners last year, event organisers have upped the race limit to 250, although the race is expected to fill up fast. Each participant will be invited to enjoy a free buffet lunch after the race, which is held in memory of Carnegie Harriers coach, Graham Clark, who died at an early age after competing in a 5K race.
Online entries opened yesterday and organisers are urging runners to avoid disappointment by entering in advance, as on the day entries will only be accepted if the limit of 250 has not been reached. Entry costs £7 for unattached runners and £5 for scottishathletics members.
