Tame The Wicked Wolf

Runners in Scotland are in for a treat as the Wicked Wolf Triathlon challenges participants in Carrbridge for the first time this August. The event, which will involve kayak section followed by 30k on mountain bike and a 10K run, is being organised by some local mountain bikers in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The triathlon on Saturday August 7 is designed to give racers a fun course set in the 'infamous stomping ground of the mean and nasty Wolf of Badenoch, the notorious 14th Century Lord of Badenoch and Earl of Buchan, famous for terrorising the northern counties and sacking Elgin Cathedral.' The route will take in beautiful views of the Cairngorm mountains and the Badenoch and Spey valley, taking triathletes over hill and heather moorland and around the picturesque village of Carrbridge.
The kayak section will be 3km around the Wicked Wolf's ruined castle, then bikes will take competitors over the moor hill, where a low level 10K woodland run will take participants to a ceilidh in the village hall.
Solo entry to the race is £27.50 for non Triathlon Scotland members, with a £42.50 entry fee for unattached relay teams.
