Halfway Point In Mark's Marathon Challenge

28 MAY2010

Mark Cooper in training for his challenge

Mark Cooper set off from Edinburgh on May 1 to take on the challenge of a lifetime, running 50 marathons through four countries. Starting in Amsterdam and crossing the line in Barcelona, Mark has now been on the run for 27 days, completing 25 marathons in that time.

Mark's journey has so far seen him run through the Netherlands and Belgium. He is now in France and will cross into Spain to reach his final destination in four weeks time. Mark has been blogging about each leg as he goes, talking of the people he meets and the support shown.

With half of the challenge left to do, Mark is in good spirits and is enjoying his adventure so far, and has raised almost half of his £25,000 target for Headway Edinburgh. He wants to raise money for the charity that helped him and his family when his mum suffered a brain haemorrhage in 1997.
