Edinburgh's Outdoor Gym

11 MAY2010

Rat Race Urban Gym Logo

A new gym concept, which sees instructors lead participants through a full-body workout using the Edinburgh cityscape, has been launched for the first time in Scotland.

Already well established in London and Bristol, Rat Race Urban Gym makes use of the natural environment to form a circuit that offers a unique workout to people of all fitness levels.

Classes will run on Mondays and Wednesdays at 18:00 and 19:15, providing a number of aerobic, resistance and conditioning exercises around a 3km course, starting and finishing at a central hub in Edinburgh's Castle Terrace.

Participants are given the opportunity to 'Try for a fiver' with their £5 returned if they do not enjoy the class. There are then various training options available, each package coming with a welcome pack.
