Paisley's First Running Shop To Open

24 MAR2010

Good2Run

Paisley's first dedicated running shop, Good2Run, will open on Sunday March 28 at 1pm. Based within Pro Life Fitness Centre in Paisley, the shop will provide runners of all abilities with everything needed to be a successful runner, on their doorstep.

The opening day of Good2Run will see all customers receive a 10% discount on brands such as Asics, Mizuno, Brooks, Ron Hill, Hilly, 1000mile Socks. Shock Absorber and SportJock Bras. 'Jogging Buddies' members will also receive the discount with each purchase thereafter.

Speaking to SCOTTISHRUNNINGGUIDE.COM, Good2Run owner Margaret Moore said,
"There has never been somewhere locally in Paisley to shop and buy running clothes and shoes, and setting up a running shop has always been on my mind.

"I have been running myself for over 20 years and am also a qualified running coach and keep fit instructor. I already taught and coached at Pro Life Fitness Centre and it was there that Alec, the owner of the complex, asked if I would like to open 'Good2Run. The shop caters for gym enthusiasts and runners alike and we are also involved with the 'Paisley is' campaign, which is promoting Paisley as a place to Visit, Work and Live.

"I would welcome any Scottish Running guide readers to come down and get to know us at our opening from 1pm on Sunday March 28."

Before the opening, customers and runners in Paisley are invited to attend a 'Training for a 10K' workshop, at 11.15am in the Pro Life Fitness Centre, by 'Jogging Buddies', giving expert advice on training for a 10K, how to prepare for your first 10K and how to improve your times if you are a seasoned runner.

Costing just £3, (free for jogging buddies members), the workshop will involve a presentation on training, then an opportunity for jog leaders to offer advice on preparing training schedules and events calendars.
