10,000 in Great Edinburgh 10k

A record 10,000 runners have signed up for the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, which will be broadcast for the first time ever live on Five. The event is regarded as one of the world's most scenic city centre 10k's and includes famous landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle, The Scott Monument, The Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace.

Sunday 3rd May 2009 Live on Five - 10am - 11.30

The Bupa Great Edinburgh Run has attracted the best ever elite field including Bupa Great Edinburgh Run champion Bernard Kipyego, world 10 kilometres record holder Micah Kogo and 2004 Olympic Marathon bronze medallist Deena Kastor and 3 times Bupa Great Edinburgh Run winner and former New York Marathon Champion Jelena Prokopcuka.
