Strictly Barcode

25 JAN2010

From February 6 Glasgow parkrun will be barcode only. This means that runners entering the popular free weekly time trial will have to show their barcode to get their time and earn points. Without it you'll be listed as an unknown runner, and no time is given.

With 50,000+ runners in the parkrun database, it's getting extremely difficult for the volunteers at parkrun Glasgow to identify people by their name alone. Barcodes are quicker, easier, and more reliable. And it's easy to get your barcode at the parkrun website.

Go online to the parkrun website for the full story.
