The Angus HaM Seventy Seven

27 APR2009

77 runners took part in the Angus HaM (Half Marathon) on Sunday 26th April 2009. Starting at 10.30am within Monikie country park and taking runners through Monikie Village, Wellbank, Kellas, Drumsturdy and Newbigging, the undulating course may have pushed runners to their limits, especially towards the finish as runners made their way uphill back into Monikie Country park.

The seventy seven finishers all received a medal, drinks bottle and goodie bag. There were category and some spot prizes. The race was won by Neil Young of Fife AC in a time of 1:18:21. The first woman being Mieke Cooper of Perth Road Runners.
