Weather Sinks Nigel Barge

Extreme weather conditions continue to wreak havoc on the Scottish running calendar with the postponement of the popular Nigel Barge 10k Memorial Road Race (and associated 3k Junior Race). Both events were scheduled for Saturday, January 9.

The Nigel Barge is a well-supported mid-winter race for runners in the west of Scotland and the good news is that it has been rescheduled and will take place on Saturday, March 27. The venue remains as Garscube Sports Complex.

Those who have pre-entered can retain their place for the new date, secure a place in the 2011 race, or alternatively contact Kenny Stevenson for a full refund (ken.stevenson@hendersonloggie.co.uk).
