Festive Frolics

18 DEC2009

There is plenty of opportunity in Scotland for running over the Christmas period. A number of clubs hold their own events and there are plenty of options for non club runners too with races throughout the country.

Glasgow parkrun's dedicated bunch of volunteers have arranged for an event to be held on the day itself. However to minimise the amount of work required on the day, it will be held on a barcode basis only and aimed at those who have participated in the event before and know the course sufficiently to run it with a skeleton number of stewards.

Boxing Day provides loads of opportunities with the usual Glasgow and Edinburgh parkruns being held as well as the popular Nairn and Ayr Turkey Trots and the fabulously titled Forfar Plum Pudding Plod.

The fun continues on December 27 with the Bangcock Challenge Duathlon being held at Tinto Hill and the Law Breaker being held in Tillicoultry.

See our Race Listings page for further details.

Enjoy your Christmas and enjoy your running.
