Whangie Whizz Hill Race

22 APR2009

Whangie Map

The first of the 10-race mid-week Bog and Burn series, the Whangie Hill Race is a great introduction to Hill Racing. There are no intimidating climbs and it's quite short at 6.8K. The Race starts at 7.30pm tonight 22 April at the Queen's View car park on the Bearsden to Drymen road and entries are accepted on the night.

The terrain has suffered from cattle-grazing in recent years, making it less whizzy and rougher underfoot. The route is all pretty runnable, with only one short steep climb to reach the summit plateau of Auchineden Hill. Find out more details about the race at Scottish Hill Racing.
