Run For Relief In Burma: Sat Oct 10

8 OCT2009

race start

For the past two years the Edinburgh Run for Relief in Burma has been a great success, with hundreds of runners and walkers raising over £7600 to help internally displaced people in Burma. But there's still more to do! So the event is being held again this year, on Saturday October 10 in Inverleith Park, Edinburgh.

The 5k race will start at 11am with prizes awarded afterward. A free lunch is offered after the race for those who want to learn more about the issues affecting Burma today - and what you can do to help.

This year Zoya Phan will join the race and speak at the lunch following the run. Zoya is from the Karen ethnic group in Burma and is a refugee currently working in London with Burma Campaign UK. More information on Zoya and the event is available here.
