Ronhill Cambuslang Harrier Ross BARK was the first athlete across the Glasgow parkrun's finish line on Saturday, September 26. BARK was one of eight runners in the first ten finishers to record a course personal best in the Pollok Park event. Celebrating his birthday BARK completed the course in 16:57, an age grade score of 76.11%. The first female athlete to cross the line was Garscube Harrier Kirsty HUSBAND who also earned a course PB with a time of 18:32, an age grade score of 84.62%.

Victoria Park/City of Glasgow's youngster Ethan SLOAN-DENNISON (JM15-19) earned second place with a time of 17:36, a new PB by six seconds. Slightly older, Greenock Glenpark Harrier Patrick DUFFY (M50-55) claimed third in 17:41.


In the women's race unattached pair Nicola MAY (V35-39) and Rachel STRICEVIC (V40-44) earned second and third spots. MAY finished second, with a time of 20:19, whilst STRICEVIC claimed third, and joined the list of those earning course PBs, by finishing in 21:40.


A total of 219 runners participated in the race in perfect conditions. Susan MILLER (V50-54) who completed her ninth Glasgow parkrun in 125th position with a time of 26:43 told SCOTTISH RUNNING GUIDE "The parkrun is fantastic, it's free and the atmosphere is so friendly. I love it and would recommend it to anyone."
