Scotland's Toughest Run ?

17 APR2009

The fourth Richie's Run was restored to its original springtime slot and took place on Sunday 12 April. The weather was fantastic and nearly 80 runners, of mixed abilities, tackled the 5 and 9 mile demanding races, flanked by the magnificent Arrochar Alps.

The Richie Wonnacott All Terrain Challenge or Richie's Run, as it has become known, once again proved to be one of the toughest runs in Scotland. Both races started and finished at the head of historic Glen Fruin. Just over half the runners chose the slightly less demanding 5 mile route, with 35 completing the full 9 mile event.

Finishing times for the 5 mile race ranged from 30:36 to 1:15:55, with the 9 mile runners taken between 50:54 and 1:50:44 to complete their event.
