Last Call for Great Scottish Run

Online and postal entries have now closed for the Great Scottish Run, one of Scotland's largest mass participation sporting events, which attracted 19,000 entrants in 2008. However you can still enter in person at the race office at Jury's Inn Hotel, Jamaica Street, Glasgow today, Friday September 4, and tomorrow, Saturday September 5.

The Junior Race is held on Saturday, with the 10k and Half Marathon staged on Sunday morning. The 10k commencing at 9:30, with the Half Marathon one hour later. Both races start beside George Square and finish at Glasgow Green and include the unique route across the Kingston Bridge.

The race office for late entries and collection of race packs will be open on Friday September 4 from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, for Junior, Half Marathon & 10K entries and Saturday September 5 from 9.00 am to 6 pm for Half Marathon & 10K entries only.

Please note: Jury's Inn itself has no involvement whatsoever with the Race Organisation.

Directions to Jury's Inn

The Hotel is about a five minute walk from Glasgow Central Station. Exit on to Union Street, turn Right, cross ArgyleStreet, continue down Jamaica Street and the Jury's Inn is on your right hand side at the corner of the Broomielaw (Clyde Street).

For travel by car and car parking:

Come off the M8 (westbound) at Junction 19. This slip road will take you past the Hilton Hotel after The Marriott Hotel turn left onto Argyle Street
Turn Right at James Watt Street
Turn Left onto the Broomielaw (Clyde Street)
Continue on this street then turn Left onto Oswald Street
Turn first Right onto Midland Street and continue under the bridge
At the end of street turn Right onto Jamaica Street
You will see Jury's Inn designated car park, Thistle Parking, located above Matalan and Currys to your Left - to access this, take the Left after the building onto Howard Street and the parking entrance is on your Left.
On the right hand side of the street is the Jury's Inn Glasgow.
