Harmeny's Ian Smith, who finished in 91st place with a Season Best of 44:42, told SCOTTISH RUNNING GUIDE "That was hard work! But I got under 45 minutes for the first time this year. The race was well organised, plenty of marshals and kilometre markers, plus a water station that you passed twice, so can't say fairer than that."
