Norman's Law Hill Race

Some 84 runners completed the Norman's Law Hill Race on Sat 11th April. The race, which is suitable for novice hill runners, took place in Luthrie, a tiny, pretty, village situated just off of the main Kirkcaldy to Dundee road.

The runners started their race at the idyllic setting of the Lower Luthrie Farm cowsheds and made their way along road, bridlepath and footpath towards Ayton, where runners were free to choose their own route to the cairned top (an iron age fort) with spectacular views of the silvery Tay below.

The fun continued as the runners followed their own route back to the finish at the cowsheds, where they received a rousing reception from the bovine population, before making their way Luthrie Village Hall for a traditional Fife AC post-race tea.

The race was won by Colin Donnoly of Lochaber in a time of 30:25. The last runner home taken a time of 59:35.
