21 AUG2009

SHM Logo

Organisers of the Edinburgh Marathon have announced that next year's event will now incorporate the Scottish Half Marathon. The new race will start and finish in the same location as the Edinburgh Marathon and with around 25,000 runners expected to enter the 2010 Edinburgh Marathon, Scottish Half Marathon and Hairy Haggis Team Relay it will now be one of the biggest running events in the UK.

With an elevation drop of 40 metres the route is attractive to anyone seeking a PB. Entries for all the 2010 Events (Edinburgh Marathon, Scottish Half Marathon, Team Relay and England and Scotland Kilomathon's) will open in just over two weeks time on the 1st September 2009.

Entries for all events will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visit www.edinburgh-marathon.com or www.kilomathon.com to enter any of the events.
