One of The Friendliest Races in Scotland

19 AUG2009

There’s still time to register for one of the friendliest races in Scotland - the Isle of Coll Half Marathon. The Half, 10k, 5k and kids races are all held on the beautiful island on Sunday, August 22. Runners are allowed to camp in the village on the hill by the church and at the village hall, and the whole community gets involved as the local hotel and local residents invite runners in to use their shower facilities.

All the races finish at the Lodge in Arinagour where a BBQ and bar will be available from 4pm. With presentation of winners’ trophies at 8pm, the raffle draw at 11pm and the Dance and Bar going on until one o’clock in the morning a good, perhaps too good, event seems assured.
