Scotland's Only 10.5k Road Race?

2 AUG2009

Dundonald Castle

Possibly the only 10.5k Road Race in Scotland, the Dundonald 10.5k takes place in the beautiful South Ayrshire countryside on Wednesday August 5 at 7:30 pm.

The race starts at the playing field next to Dundonald Castle. Officially an undulating course, the route makes its way from the Castle in Winehouse Yett, down the B730 and uphill along the testing high road to Symington. Here the route runs along the pretty village's Main Street before turning left along Brewlands Road and downhill back to the B730. The route continues along the low road back to Dundonald, where it climbs slightly back up towards the 14th Century Castle, finishing in the playing field.

Registration from 6.30pm, fee is £7.00 and £5.00 if you have SAL membership at Dundonald Activity Centre, Castle Drive, Dundonald, Nr Kilmarnock KA2 9EP.
