Capital Performances in the Meadows' Relays

A total of 61 teams participated in the self transcendence 3 x 1 mile relays held on Wednesday July 29 at the Meadows in Edinburgh. Despite some of the light hearted team names there were some excellent performances in the Capital, with pride of place going to Roislin chaps-els. The team consisting of Matt Bell, Ray Ward and Neil Renault completed the three miles in a cumulative time of 13:29. Lothingstone (Lothian AC) consisting of the three juniors: Sarah Inglis; Amanda Campbell and Mhairi Inglis won the Women’s Race in a time of 15:30.

Men's Race

Nine seconds behind Roislin chaps-els in second place were HBT Z whose team consisted of Steve Cairns, Murray Strain and Don Naylor finished in 13:38. In third position were Calum McKenzie, Bryan Clarke and Kriss Berry, running under the name 'What a bunch of CAAC' and finishing in 14:10.

Women's Race

HBT Girls made up of Sula Young, Elis McKechanie and Megan Mowbary finished in second spot in 16:49. Three Edinburgh AC runners: Jo Thom; Sharyn Rammage and Cath Ferry ran under the name of “Jo-Rasic Park” and claimed third position with a combined time of 17:06.
