One Quarter of a Thousand parkrunners

In it's 34th staging the Glasgow parkrun reached the elusive 250 participants. With the free 5k event attracting ever increasing numbers to Pollok Park it was only a matter of time before the big 250 was reached. Ronhill Cambuslang Harrier Robert Gilroy was the first athlete across the finish line today, Saturday July 25. He completed the course in 16:43 and posted an age grade score of 78.07%. The first female athlete to cross the line was Holmfirth Harrier Dawn Broom in a time of 19:50 posting an age grade score of 80.50%. Running in her second Glasgow parkrun, unattached Jenny Ackland, despite taking 61 seconds off of her previous time, becomes the first person to finish in 250th place. Jenny finished in 48:04 with an age grade score of 37.03%.
