Toss Your Caber at the Forres 10k

The 81st staging of the Forres Highland Games will take place on Saturday 11th July 2009 in the ancient Royal Burgh's Grant Park. The Moray Coast games include a hilly 10k, which starts at the unusual time of 14:40. The cost is unusual too at £3.50 for SAL members and £5.50 for non-members. However don't expect to be provided with water, medals or goody bags. This is raw running at it's traditional best!
You can also take the opportunity to try a shorter distance when you are there, the Games include a range of races between 100 and 3000m as well as various other non racing events such as Tossing the Caber, Putting the Shot and Throwing the Hammer.Full Details
