Husbands First and Second Women

In the 31st Glasgow parkrun Shettleston Harriers's Billy COYLE was the first athlete across the finish line. He completed the course in 16:47 and posted an age grade score of 85.10%. The first female athlete to cross the line was Garscube Harriers's Kirsty HUSBAND in a time of 18:37 posting an age grade score of 84.24% followed by second female unattached Vicki HUSBAND in 20:36, an age grade score of 73.54%. Both Husbands were completing their first ever parkrun.

In a successful day for Garscube Harriers Stephen MULRINE finshed second man in a time of 17:24, eleven seconds ahead of Bellahouston Harriers' Andy CAMPBELL who earned third position.

Clydesdale Harriers' Marina MCCALLUM was third woman in a time of 20:49.

New Runners

In a field of 193 runners, 43 were taking part in their first ever parkrun, one of these was Katy SMITH who finished in 152nd place with a time of 29:14. Katy told SCOTTISH RUNNING GUIDE "It's a great event, so friendly and such a wide variety of runners. I'll definitely be back. And to think it's all done by volunteers."
