Entries Open For Kilt Run
7 FEB2012

After Ontario set successive records for the most kilted runners taking part in an organised race, Perth is looking to do justice to its native attire by matching its Canadian counterpart. The 5 mile event, which is called the Perth Kilt Run 2012, is due to take place on Saturday, June 2.
With 1,276 people taking part in the kilted run in Perth, Canada, the twinning partners in Scotland are looking to match the record by 2016. The Scottish event will see runners cover Perth's North and South Inches alongside the River Tay. The race is part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Day Celebrations in Perth.
For the purpose of the Guinness World Record, all prospective competitors must wear a kilt. Entry for the race is priced at £10. You can add your kilt hire for a further £24 by visiting the event website.
