Urbanathlon Changes Name

25 JAN2012

RoadBlock Run

2012 sees a fresh new brand for the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland's Urbanathlon - the fun run with an obstacle twist. The events, which take place in Glasgow and Edinburgh, will now be called RoadBlock Run.

The RoadBlock Run races will follow the same layout as the five previous Urbanathlons, with the usual fun obstacles for participants to jump, slide, crawl and laugh their way over. In keeping with their new name, organisers are promising a new twist for this year's events.

Alison Bertram, organiser of the RoadBlock Run, said prospective competitors can look forward to even more obsctacles and fun this year: "We are very excited about the fresh new name for the Urbanathlon in Scotland and are looking forward to incorporating a new twist to the fun run."

The first RoadBlock Run will take place in Edinburgh at Arthur's Seat on Sunday, September 23. Registration for the 10k event opens on Monday (January 30) at the race website. The race, which is organised in co-ordination with Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, has raised over £115,000 for the charity. More information on CHSS is available at their website.
