12 JAN2012

Edinburgh Marathon Festival logo

GSi Events are reporting substantially increased numbers for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K events at the 2012 Edinburgh Marathon Festival on May 26/27. The race organisers anticipate entries for the half marathon which takes place on the Sunday and starts before the feature marathon will be close to 10,000.

Entries to all races in the big running festival in May are still available. Charity entries are available for all races, and standard entries are available for the half marathon, Hairy Haggis team relay, 10k, 5k, wheelchair, handbike and junior races. Standard marathon entries are now closed.

If you would like to run in Edinburgh marathon but haven't yet secured a place there are a number of charities with guaranteed places who would love to have you running for them. Running for charity is an immensely rewarding experience and the support and fundraising advice from the charities means that fundraising can be an enjoyable rather than onerous. Visit the Edinburgh Marathon website to enter for charity.
