Price Freeze At Great Scottish Run

Organisers of the Great Scottish Run have given runners cause for celebration by confirming there will be a price freeze for next year's event. The announcement came as entries for the race, scheduled for Sunday, September 2, also opened. The race, which has attracted over 20,000 competitors for three consecutive years and is the largest mass participation sporting event in the country, has now maintained the same entry price since 2010.

After feedback from last year's competitors, organisers have revealed the introduction of technical t-shirts for 2012. The t-shirts have been designed to keep runners cooler on race day and are available to early-bird entrants at an upgrade price of £5. Reduced discount rates are available until June 22 of next year.

Entries for the Ignis Assessment Management Women's 10k on Sunday, May 13, 2012, have also opened. As with the Great Scottish Run, organisers have confirmed there will be a price freeze for this event.
