25th Anniversary Success for Wylie

27 JUN2009

Claire Thompson

Congratulations to Cambuslang's Stephen Wylie and Bellahouston Road Runners' Claire Thompson for winning Friday night's Calderglen 10k trail race.

Some 155 runners competed up and down the stairs, over the narrow bridges, through the nettles and over the hills with the midges in hot pursuit at the East Kilbride race. The event is organised by local club Calderglen Harriers who are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year.

Women's Race winner, Claire Thompson told SCOTTISH RUNNING GUIDE "I really enjoyed the race, it was my first win of the year. Well done to all who participated."
