Pampered At parkrun

20 OCT2011

runner gets leg massage

Falkirk parkrun has quickly become established as a popular event in Central Scotland with around 100 runners turning out each week. The free 5K run at the town's Callendar Park every Saturday at 9.30am launched in July and despite a challenging course has won the support of local clubs and lots of new runners too. Falkirk parkrun 15 this Saturday (October 22) has the additional attraction of free advice or massage from local physiotherapists, Life Fit Physiotherapy.

Life Fit Physiotherapy is a newcomer to the Scottish running scene too, but is building up a reputation for professionalism and good service at its modern, purpose designed physiotherapy and sports injury clinic at The Hub (Beancross Road) in Grangemouth. Available services include physiotherapy, treatment for sports Injuries, sports massage and sports podiatry.

Practice manager Maria Nimmo told scottishrunningguide.com: "The team is looking forward to Falkirk parkrun on Saturday where we will be giving runners a free 10 minute massage or niggle injury advice on a first come first serve basis. We'll be there from 8:30am."

Sign-up for Falkirk parkrun at the event website or find out more about Life Fit Physiotherapy at the practice website.
