The inaugural iROC adventure race weekend will be taking place on April 18-19, 2009 at Weardale Works, Eastgate in the scenic Durham Dales - a brilliant new venue, which has never had public access before, let alone an adventure race! The venue is a former cement works site that is surrounded by stunning moorland, the site itself is largely hidden from view but is complete with a large quarry, steep hillsides with complex contour features, forest and a perfect event village location at the bottom of the valley.

Five races are planned, three taking place during the day with two night races. There will also be five mini races that family and friends can participate in. Entrants can choose to compete in either one or all five races and can opt to take part as an individual or as a team of three.

Make a weekend of it as your entry fee will include race entry, camping and parking all weekend - including access to the Saturday night entertainment.

There will be a huge prize fund for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd including spot prizes and all entrants will receive a goody bag that is guaranteed to be filled with top products from sponsors.
