Join the Stroke Association for the Resolution Run 5k/10k series this spring. Starting in Dundee on 28 February, travelling to Edinburgh on 6 March, Glasgow on 13 March, and finishing in Aberdeen on 3 April, Resolution Run is open to all ages and abilities. Participants can run, jog or walk the routes. Resolution Runs are for everyone. Entry costs £15 and includes a technical T-shirt or running vest, medal and goody bag.
By taking part in Resolution Run and taking regular exercise you will be reducing your own risk of having a stroke in the future. In Scotland, 1 in 6 of us will have a stroke. There are around 117,500 people living in Scotland who have had a stroke. Strokes can happen to anyone at any age with a quarter of all strokes happening in people of working age or younger. It causes a greater range of disabilities than any other condition.
The Stroke Association raises awareness of what a stroke is, how to recognise its symptoms and how to prevent your own risk of having one. The charity funds vital, life saving stroke research and supports those who have had a stroke, as well as their families and carers.
By taking part in Resolution Run, you will be helping the Stroke Association to continue their work in Scotland.
