Running Clubs In Tayside And Angus
There are numerous well-established running clubs throughout Angus and Tayside giving those who take their running seriously an opportunity to join like-minded people for training sessions and race competitions.
Being part of a club is a great way of motivating yourself and improving performance; clubs usually meet twice a week, often for programmed sessions, and there can be other opportunities for other organised runs. It's also a great way to make friends and get involved in social activities.
Clubs come in various shapes and sizes - some focus exclusively on road and trail running while others have junior sections and take part in a range of track and field events. Competitions and racing are most important in some clubs while the social dimension can be a big part of others. One successful, friendly club is Arbroath Footers who we highlight in our fact box.
