News - Records Smashed In Charmer

Cairngorm CharmerOver 120 competitors from all parts of Scotland braved the wet and misty weather in the Highlands on Saturday (October 8) to take part in the fifth Cairngorm Charmer duathlon. The annual race proved to be highly eventful with seven new course records set in varying categories.

News - Scots Kids Just Miss World Record

World Marathon Challenge Pupils from St. Peter the Apostle's school in Clydebank last week narrowly missed out on breaking Patrick Makau's world record marathon time of 2:03:38. The World Marathon Challenge, which took place on Wednesday, October 5, invited children aged 11 to 13 to each run a 200-metre stretch as they covered the 26.2-mile distance.

Runtalk - Running Chester

Russel at Chester MarathonRussell Whittington, recently confirmed as a Guiness world record holder, spoke to us about celebrating his new status with a run at the Chester marathon...

On Sunday October 9 my dad and I took part in the second running of the Chester Marathon. It was the first marathon that we had run together since the London Marathon in April where we had both run personal best times. A few days before the Chester Marathon we had received verbal confirmation from the Guinness World Records that our combined time was the fastest parent and child time and would become an official world record.
